When it first came to market in 1938, the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date was a truly innovative design.  A dedicated central hand with a red crescent-shaped tip signifies the current date and is designed to switch over automatically at the stroke of midnight. The dial also boasts large, clear Arabic hour markers and hands filled with SuperLuminova C3 material for an legible reading in most environments. This watch also boasts a 40mm stainless steel case with a fixed bezel and a skeletonized case back that gives the wearer a view of the brand’s famed red rotor. As its name would suggest, the case is also outfitted with an over-sized crown guard for an easier grip.
